Read through some of our most frequently asked questions so you can come to Buffalo Lake Camping Resort fully prepared and ready for fun. We are located within city limits for your convenience! If there is a question that you have that you don't find on this list, please feel free to give our friendly staff at the office a call (608-297-2915) and we'll be happy to help!
Q: What are the check-in and check-out times?
A: We look forward to your arrival as early as 3:00 PM. Check-out time for campsites is by 1:00 PM & Rentals is by 11am. No Rental Unit check-ins on Saturday.
Q: What if I have to cancel my reservation?
A: All reservations require a 100% deposit within 7 days from date reservation is made. Refunds are given only if your reservation is cancelled 14 days prior to arrival for campsites and 30 days prior to arrival for the Cabin, Cottage, or Park Models (minus a $15 fee).
Q: Can we bring our pets with us?
A: Yes you can! We love our guests' pets at Buffalo Lake. We even have specific rental units that are pet-friendly for your convenience.
Q: Can we have visitors while camping?
A: Registered Campers are allowed to have visitors from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Visitors' cars must be parked in the parking lots or within your campsite. Campers are responsible for the actions of their guests, and camping permit(s) will be revoked for violations of rules and regulations by guests.
Q: Can we request a specific campsite?
A: You may book a specific site through our online booking tool that will provide all available sites for the date range you are booking in. Happy booking!
Q: Are campfires allowed and can I bring firewood?
A: Campfires are certainly allowed! You must use our fire rings for all fires and you must extinguish the fire when you leave the campsite. However, we do not allow campers to bring in their own firewood outside of 25 miles to protect against the spreading of invasive species. Firewood is available for purchase at our store!
