Buffalo Lake Camping Resort is your family getaway located in the heart of Marquette County! While you're here be sure to try canoeing or kayaking on one of the many rivers and streams or biking down scenic roads to get a taste of the unspoiled beauty that surrounds you.
Do something with the whole family and go fishing on the huge, 2200-acre Buffalo Lake, well known for its fine catches of northern pike, bass, crappie, bluegill and perch. A boat launch, four piers and fish cleaning house are also available for free for our guests. Want to get out in the lake? Rowboats, canoes, and kayaks can be rented by the hour or for the day.
There is a convenience store supplied with a little of everything that you may need while experiencing the peace and serenity, or the family bonding time, that we have to offer you!
There are 110 spacious campsites, all with water & electricity. Some include sewer hook ups and cable TV. There are a mix of seasonal and overnight campsites in the park with a picnic table and fire ring are on every site. We have three bathroom and two shower buildings, one with 24 hour self-serve laundry. There is a heated swimming pool, arcade, and TV lounge to keep everyone entertained during their stay. Our other features include a two-bedroom housekeeping cottage, 2 park models , a camping cabin, weekend activities, rowboat, canoe and kayak rentals, bait and tackle, covered pavilion, horseshoe pits, awesome playground equipment, basketball, and volleyball. If you have a dog, feel free to bring that part of the family too, as long as it is kept on a leash and picked up after. If you just can not seem to leave the technology behind, neither can we. HOW TO FIND US
From Madison, WI: Take I-90/94 to Exit 108B (I-39). Take State Road 23 East 8 miles to County Hwy. C (Lake Ave). Turn right on County Rd. C (west) and travel 3/4 mile to entrance on right. From the East: Enter Montello on State Road 23. Continue on Hwy. 23 past waterfalls and stop light, through downtown, turn left on County Hwy. C (Lake Ave) west, at Fire Station, and travel 3/4 mile to entrance on right. From the West:Enter City of Montello on State Road 23. Once you pass a cemetary and County Courthouse on your left, turn right on County Rd. C (Lake Ave) west, before Fire Station, and travel 3/4 mile to entrance on right.
